Dr. Sreeni Edakhlon is a high-volume cataract surgeon with over 1,30,000 phacoemulsification surgeries to his credit. He completed his MD (Ophthalmology) from the prestigious Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi, in the year 2000, followed by a Fellowship in Anterior Segment at Sankara Eye Hospital, Coimbatore. There, he received advanced training in cataract surgery and sub-specialties including Glaucoma, Oculoplasty, Cornea, and Pediatric Ophthalmology.
He was instrumental in establishing the Comtrust Eye Hospital branches at Thalassery and Kanhangad, serving as Chief Surgeon and performing the majority of surgeries until August 2025.
Currently, he serves as Chief Surgeon at Malhaari Eye Care, Thalassery, and Mamtrust Eye Hospital, Kanhangad, continuing to deliver advanced eye care in Kerala with a focus on precision cataract surgery and compassionate patient care.
